Privacy Policy
This is an English translation of our Privacy Policy, provided for convenience. The legally binding version is the original in Portuguese. If the two differ, the Portuguese version prevails.
1. Who handles your data
This website and the BuilderTrack platform are operated by BuilderTech, registered under CNPJ (Brazilian company number) 68.086.017/0001-47, headquartered in Brasília, Federal District, Brazil.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can demand from us. It follows Law No. 13,709/2018, Brazil's General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD).
2. Two different roles
The distinction below matters, because it changes who is responsible for each piece of data.
When you visit this website
BuilderTech is the controller. We decide what data to collect through the form and what to do with it.
When your company uses the BuilderTrack platform
Your company is the controller of the fleet data, including driver data. BuilderTech acts as the processor: we handle that data following your company's instructions and the terms of the contract, without using it for our own purposes.
In practice: if a driver wants to know what is recorded about their driving, the request should go to their employer, who hired the system and decides how it is used. We help the company respond, but we don't decide for it.
3. Data we collect on this website
We only collect what you type into the demo request form:
- Name
- Company
- Phone or WhatsApp, if you fill it in
- Fleet size, if you select it
- The message you write
We don't use our own cookies, audience analytics tools, or advertising tracking pixels. We don't build a browsing profile and we don't track you across websites.
4. Why we handle this data
We use the form data to get in touch, understand your operation, present the system and send a commercial proposal. Nothing more.
The legal basis is pre-contractual steps taken at the data subject's request (LGPD, Art. 7, V): you filled out the form precisely so that we would get in touch.
We don't send mass marketing communications. If that ever changes, it will be with consent requested separately, and with an unsubscribe option in every message.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent or hand over personal data. Sharing is limited to the services needed for the website to work:
- Web3Forms, which receives the form submission and forwards it to our email. Its servers are located outside Brazil, which constitutes an international data transfer (LGPD, Art. 33).
- Google Fonts, which provides the page's typefaces. When the site loads, your IP address is sent to Google's servers.
- Hostinger, which hosts the website and keeps server access logs.
We may also share data when required by law, by court order, or at the request of a competent authority.
6. How long we keep it
We keep form data for as long as the commercial conversation lasts and for up to 24 months after the last contact, a period in which resuming the conversation is still plausible. After that, it is deleted.
If the conversation turns into a contract, the data then follows the period set in the contract and the legal retention periods for tax and accounting records.
You can ask for deletion before then, at any time.
7. Your rights
The LGPD guarantees you, at any time and free of charge, the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your data and access that data
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data
- Request anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data
- Request portability of your data to another provider
- Be informed about who we share your data with
- Withdraw consent, when processing is based on it
- Object to processing you consider unlawful
To exercise any of these rights, write to the address in section 9. We reply within 15 days.
8. Security
The website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions travel encrypted. Access to the BuilderTrack platform is individual, with credentials per user, and fleet data has automatic backups.
No system is immune to incidents. If a security incident occurs that poses a relevant risk to data subjects, we will notify those affected and the ANPD (Brazil's National Data Protection Authority), as required by Art. 48 of the LGPD.
